At the 8 Hours of Bahrain the Porsche 911 RSR competed in a FIA World Endurance Championship race for the very last time. Form next year on, race cars homologated according to the international FIA GT3 rulebook will replace the GTE race cars. The farewell to the 378 kW (515 PS) nine-eleven was a perfect success at the WEC season finale: Sarah Bovy (Belgium), Michelle Gatting (Denmark) und Rahel Frey (Switzerland) clinched the win in the GTE Am class for the Porsche customer team Iron Dames. Dempsey Proton Competition, GR Racing, Iron Lynx and Project1-AO had entered another four 911 RSR. Stuttgart. After notching up 18 race wins, five world champion titles and three class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Porsche had wrapped up its factory involvement with the 911 RSR in the FIA World Endurance Championship WEC already at the end of 2022.
